Boys
Grange love that a predominately girls sport now with inclusivity now at the forefront. More boys are discovering that netball provides a great opportunity for physical fitness, teamwork, and personal development. Across the country, an increasing number of boys are putting on their netball shoes and taking to the court. They're joining clubs, attending training sessions, and competing at all levels. These players are not just participating—they're showcasing their skills and proving that netball is a sport for everyone, regardless of gender. So if you are a boy, here are the current rules of eligibility:

  • They must be eligible for 11/U but can play in 13/U SAUCNA Playing Conditions (March 2023)
  • There is a maximum of two boys per team allowed on court at any one time and they must always be positioned in different thirds
    • This means they cannot play: GA & GS, GD & GK, C & WD/WA, or WA & WD at the same time.
    • However, they can play GA & WA, GD & WD, C & GA/GS/GD/GK

Walking Netball

Walking Netball is a fun and inclusive way to meet like minded people in the Grange area. Grange Netball is about community spirit, why let the kids have all the fun right? If your kids play for other clubs, that's OK, we are all inclusive!

No set Teams. No experience necessary. Get fit at your own pace. Fun & Welcoming!

Are you a former player who can't play netball due to injuries? Or perhaps are you a parent/spectator who wishes you could play netball, but don't think your body could handle the running or don't know the rules?

Or just want to get out of the house and join an amazing bunch of ladies for some laughs while getting fit?

Grange Uniting Netball Club is 'running' Walking Netball for all.

Walking netball enables players to get back into playing the game that they love at the pace that they can manage. There are a few different rules, including NO RUNNING, NO JUMPING and you get to hold the ball for longer. It is informal (i.e. not a competition) and players in attendance form different teams each quarter. It enables people of all ages (16yo +) and abilities to get out on the court, play different positions with different people, have fun and a laugh without any pressure.

If this sounds like something you would like to give a go, please register using the link and we will add you to our group chat for further details. Every week we ask for availability so no stress if you are away for some weeks.

Check out our socials for more information.
